Relatives say he was out with some friends at a bar in Little Havana earlier in the night but they’re not sure exactly what happened before he was shot.

According to family members, Guifarro lived in Miami most of his life and worked in construction.

“He’s humble. He’s a great friend. He’s just for other people – he’s willing to do anything for other people,” said Wendy Mena, who is married to Guifarro’s cousin.

“It’s not fair what they did to him. Nobody can take anybody’s life just like that,” she added.
