JUPITER (CBSMiami) — A man is in stable condition after being bitten by a shark a few miles off a Jupiter  inlet.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the man was bit in his upper torso and shoulder.

The bite was so deep it went through his wet suit and was embedded into his skin. It had to be peeled off.

Crews rushed him to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he reportedly was sitting up and conscious.

They do not know what type of shark bit the man.

This is the second reported shark bite in Florida this year.
