MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The principal of Homestead Senior High has been named Miami-Dade County Public School’s “Principal of the Year.”

Guillermo Muñoz was selected by the School Board as this year’s winner. Just last year he was recognized as one of the five best principals in the state by Florida State University and the non-profit Florida Tax Watch.

Coral Reef High School’s assistant principal Nicole Berge-Macinnes was named “Assistant Principal of the Year.”
