MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami-Dade Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who they said robbed a Miami business.

Surveillance cameras rolled as an armed man walked into the business located at 9320 NW 27th Avenue just after 9 p.m. in January.

That's when he took out a gun and demanded the employees in the business to lay on the ground face down.

Police said the man forced the cashier to open the cash register  but when he was unable to open it, the man had the assistant manager do it.

Once he got an undisclosed amount of money, the bandit got away on foot.

Investigators said they are looking for a man who is about 20 to 30 years of age, 5'09" tall, about 160 pounds with a muscular build, brown eyes and  a dark complexion.

Police are asking anyone with information on the case or anyone who recognizes him to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
