ORLANDO (CBSMiami) – At least one person died when a helicopter crashed into a home in Orlando on Sunday.

Police said the pilot was killed in the crash that occurred at around 2 p.m.

No one was inside of the home at the time. It’s unclear if the pilot was alone.

The helicopter hit an empty guest portion of the house and ignited a small fire.

Authorities said the chopper went down just minutes after taking off from Orlando Executive Airport.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
