MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Do you think you have what it takes to battle a fire alongside the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue? A new facility helps give firefighters a more intense and realistic training.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is the ninth busiest fire rescue department in the country.

CBS4’s Vanessa Borge got to test out the facility, working to fight “fires” and experience what it’s like to be a firefighter.

At the end, Borge said she is even more thankful to the more than 2,000 firefighters who suit up in Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department and all the departments throughout the country.
