7 Teens Arrested After Disturbance At Tampa Juvenile Center

TAMPA (CBSMiami/AP) – Seven juveniles were arrested Sunday night after a disturbance broke out at a detention center in Tampa.
The arrested teens are facing a felony and misdemeanor charges. According to authorities, about 25 teens were involved in the Sunday night disturbance at Le Peters Juvenile Corrections Academy.
About 15 Tampa police officers helped secure the center and make the arrests.
One corrections officer was attacked but not seriously injured. None of the juveniles were injured.
Police say there was less than $1,000 in damages to the facility.
No further details were immediately available.
