Escaped Prisoner Found In Lauderdale Lakes

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- The search is over for an escaped  juvenile prisoner in Fort Lauderdale.

Authorities said they caught the girl Saturday morning in Lauderdale Lakes. She is in good condition.

She escaped Friday just before 5:00 p.m. The prisoner is said to be a 17-year-old girl.

She somehow fled in shackles while she was being transported from Broward Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

Crews were searching by air and on the streets.

When she escaped, she was headed to the hospital to treat an unknown medical issue.
