Sheriff: North Florida Inmate Commits Suicide

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — A 59-year-old inmate was found hanging Thursday at the Hernando County Detention Facility.
A deputy found an Bruno Paul Mirabella hanging from his cell door.
Crews responded immediately Thursday afternoon but Mirabella was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hernando County Sheriff's officials say that a review of the facility's video equipment found that one of the jail's cameras captured Mirabella approaching the door and taking his own life some 15 minutes before he was found.
He had been booked into jail earlier Thursday after being arrested at his home on violation of probation stemming from a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.
An investigation is continuing.
