DORAL (CBSMiami) - Among the birdies and bogies this week at The World Golf Cadillac Championship at Trump Doral will be plenty of booze, beers, burgers and more.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo sampled foods that will be served up at the resorts signature restaurants; from BLT Prime and Champions Bar and Grill.

Petrillo took a bite of the Tuna Tartare from Prime and a taste of the chicken lollipops served by Champion's. "It's a perfect little lollipop bite of chicken," said Petrillo.

"Mr. Trump has done a great job bringing these 2 restaurants into the property. It has really elevated the food they serve," said Patrick Lindsey, the tournament manager.

But golf happens outside and you can't swing a club without hitting an eclectic mix of Miami's favorite flavors at the tournament which is merging trendy restaurants with tried-and-true local favorites.

Petrillo arrived lakeside to find some popular food trucks read to serve.

"You'll come out here to lakeside on three and you'll find great views of golf. Anyone can come. You can have a great experience here with food trucks and Michelob Ultra," Lindsey said.

First stop, BC Taco Truck, "Changing the world one taco at a time." Petrillo found fare she hadn't tried before…a fried avocado taco; fresh avocado diced up, fried and topped with mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo on top.

"I had no idea avocado with the crunch on outside would taste so warm and comforting and then it has great spice. Fried Avocado Taco is the way to go!" said Petrillo.

Then, Petrillo paid a visit to the truck at Che Grill which serves up authentic Argentinean empanadas.

"Pastry on the outside and soft and sweet meat on the inside. Now that's an empanada!" Petrillo said.

The best of good old fashioned American food is served up by Burger and Beer joint, the official burger of the tournament.

"We really have a lot of opportunity for our spectators to have great food and drink," said Patrick Lindsey.

And finally Hip Pop Gelato and Sorbet.

"It's handcrafted gelato and sorbet on a stick. It's a new way to eat gelato and sorbet. Then you get to customize with different Belgian dips and toppings," said Tony, the truck's owner.

Petrillo sampled The Blue Monster.

"It's like a chocolate covered berry on a stick that's really cold and delicious." said Petrillo

Petrillo said the tournament scores a hole-in-one when it comes to food.

At the end of a long day of watching golf, head to the Escalade Lounge (entrance has an extra fee) and enjoy Grey Goose cocktails and food by Sushi Maki well into the evening.
