HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) -- There's a lot of good food and drink going inside the Tipsy Boar on Harrison Street in Hollywood.

This unique combination of a funky gastropub meets a fine dining destination has been the talk of the town for two years now.

Chef Craig Lavalley is at the helm.

"On a typical Friday and Saturday night, it's hard to get seating. "We are very busy," said Chef Craig.

From burgers to pizzas, pastas and more, the menu is eclectic and adventurous with a little something for everyone. "It's very good food with affordable prices which is hard to find in Florida. Every time you go for very good food they want high prices.  We want people to come in enjoy it and we want people to be able to afford it," he explained.

The vibe is sporty and relaxed. The beer is plentiful. More than 60 on tap and the cocktails are as popular as the food.

"Cocktails are a big part. Everything is done fresh. Everything we do in the bar is unique and different and it's had to find that too," said Chef Craig.

But back to the food. In the kitchen chef prepares the homemade Crudiola Pizza with prosciutto, arugula, parmesan, ricotta and virgin oil. "So the crust is perfect like I like it. There's salt with the prosciutto and the cheese is melty and delicious, described CBS4's Lisa Petrillo.

Up next for Petrillo, "This is our Texas burger," said the waitress who served Lisa a gigantic stack of meat. "Everything is bigger in Texas," Petrillo joked.  The 10 oz. burger, which is a blend of brisket and chuck meat, is much more than a mouthful. "It's totally intimidating to eat but the meat is so moist and juicy and the crunch with onion rings on top is great and the bacon gives it savory taste," Lisa deliciously described.

Finally, Lobster Mac & Cheese made with homemade béchamel cheese with a brandy cream sauce. "That is truly the best Lobster Mac and Cheese I've had. This is a guilty pleasure," said Petrillo.

The Tipsy Boar is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. For more info: www.thetipsyboar.com.
