Police Detonate Suspicious Package In Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – A package outside the Miami Beach post office was detonated Tuesday afternoon.
Miami Beach Police tweeted a photo of the "suspicious package" which turned out to be a bar stool.

The package was outside the steps of the U.S. Post Office at 445 West 40th Street.
The Bomb Squad and Miami-Dade Police assisted MBPD in the investigation, according to Miami Beach Police's Twitter account.
Streets in the area have since re-opened.
