MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) - A big time closure for drivers in western Broward this week.

On Monday and Tuesday, beginning at 11 p.m. all southbound lanes of I-75 at Miramar Parkway will be closed so new beams can be set for the overpass.

Drivers will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Miramar Parkway West (Exit 7B), at the top of the ramp cross over Miramar Parkway, and re-enter I-75 southbound using the Miramar Parkway on-ramp.

The lanes will re-open at 6 a.m.

On Wednesday and Thursday all northbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the same construction. Drivers will have to to take the exit ramp at Miramar Parkway East (Exit 7A), at the top of the ramp cross over Miramar Parkway, and re-enter I-75 northbound using the Miramar Parkway on-ramp.

The project is part of the construction of tolled express lanes — two in each direction — between Northwest 170th Street in Miami-Dade County and I-595.
