Get Help On The Miami Dating Scene From Cupid's Cronies

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Valentine's Day is just around the corner and some South Florida singles are looking for that special someone.

If you are one of them and feel you are unlucky in love when it comes to the Miami dating scene, there's a company that can help. It's called Cupid's Cronies and CBS4's Vanessa Borge checked them out.

Recently she met up with Jairo Ibarra and April Davis at Area 31's popular happy hour.

"I feel like I'm attracting the wrong kind of woman at least for what I am looking for," said Ibarra.

Ibarra, 29 and lives in Fort Lauderdale, said he's been unsuccessful when it comes to finding the right kind of woman to take home to mom.

"I just bought a house, single guy doing well in business and I've just gotten to the point where I don't want to make bad choices any more. And I want to know how to attract the right woman," said Ibarra.

So he contacted Cupid's Cronies to get some help. That's the name of Davis' company and it's the best way to describe what she does. She's a 'wing woman'.

"My approach is more about being natural and putting you best self forward," said Davis.

Davis said she'll do everything she can to help you get the girl. From wardrobe to conversation starters.

"It's good to have a wing woman with you. She gives you those pointers. This is what you should do, this is what you shouldn't do," said Ibarra.

One of things you should do according to Davis.

"You want to have the intense eye contact."

During the Area 31's happy hour, it was Davis first time as Ibarra's wing woman. After a quick recon, she found a couple of women at the bar. After a striking up a conversation, Davis distracted one of the women to give Ibarra some time to spark up a conversation with the woman he had his eye on.

Ten minutes later, Ibarra had some good news.

"I got her number," said Ibarra. "I told her 'Look I really have to go, my friends are in a rush but we should talk sometime soon.' She said 'yeah, I agree'. So i said 'Give me your number and we can hang out' and she gave me her number."
