PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami/AP) — Authorities said three South Florida juveniles are facing charges for creating a social media account to solicit and post explicit photos of other minors.

Pembroke Pines police reported Thursday that the Instagram account — with more than 500 followers — led to the arrest of a 12-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. They’ve each been charged with electronic transmission of child pornography.

Police say the trio was taking naked photos from other juveniles around Broward County and posting them to the account. The postings included names and personal information of the victims. Followers harassed victims by posting insulting comments.

Police began investigating the Instagram account in December.
