TALLAHASSSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) —  Florida Governor Rick Scott said he plans to respond to allegations against his administration brought on by the state's former top cop.

A spokeswoman for Scott on Thursday called allegations made by former Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey "ridiculous attacks."

Jackie Schutz also said the governor's office would provide "detailed information" on his allegations.

Bailey was forced to resign in December. But Bailey this month has alleged that his ouster came after he refused to follow questionable orders coming from the governor and his staff.

Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater said Thursday that someone should look into the allegations. The two Republican officials did not say who should investigate them. One suggestion is that the probe could be done by the state's inspector general.
