MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) — Police are trying to find out what happened to a man found dead, floating in a Miramar canal on Saturday.

Around 10:00 a.m. a group of cyclists spotted the body and called police.

Just after noon, the body had been pulled out of the water along with a book bag.
“The person was clothed and had some belongings with him and detectives are going through those belongings,” said Tania Rues with BSO.
Detectives said the cause of death is still unknown, although there are no apparent signs of foul play.
