CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – A walk among the lush landscape of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, with Dale Chihuly glass sculptures so perfectly placed throughout, the amount of work it takes to transport the gallery of glass is often and easily overlooked.

More than 5,000 pieces of glass had to be transported cross country, from Chihuly’s hometown of Seattle, to Coral Gables for 15 days of installation for a total of 24 exhibit locations throughout the 83 -acre garden.

Tom Lind, the project manager for Chihuly’s exhibitions, gave CBS4’s Lisa Petrillo insight into all the work that goes behind the setup.
