MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Fans, some bitter others not, made their way to the AAA Christmas Day to watch the Heat take-on LeBron James's team the Cleveland Cavaliers. One traveling fan, however, got more than just the thrill of watching the home team play against the former Heat star.

LeBron made his return to the American Airlines Arena for the first time this NBA season, but not as a Heat player.

For the Schlissel family, who were rooting for the Heat as they made their way into the arena, there were no hard feelings towards LeBron's departure. One member of the family was wearing his jersey over her Heat shirt.

"We're going to cheer him on," said Craig Schlissel. "He gave us great championship."

The Schlissels remember the thrill of winning back-to-back championships with LeBron leading the way. They said Thursday they can't wait for the Heat to win a championship without the LeBron.

Julie Pronseti, however, hasn't forgiven James.

"He left," Julie Pronesti. "He left us hanging. We're not friends, boo."

Fans from all over came just watch the much-anticipated game.

"I'm from LA, but I've been following Lebron from when he first came to the league," said Willie Treadwell.

It's a Christmas tradition for Treadwell and his dad. The two met up in Miami Christmas Day to watch the game.

"I'm here to see Lebron! I came from Memphis," said Dwight Treadwell.

Bex Jagger traveled all the way from the United Kingdom for the game.

"I got the tickets yesterday for Christmas day, so I was really excited," she said outside the AAA.

But Jagger was in for a big surprise as her boyfriend, Gaz Smith, had more than just watching the game in mind.

"Not only LeBron's coming, but I've been planning this a while," he said. That's when Smith got down on one knee in front of Jagger, "I've always wanted to ask Bex to marry me, so, if I could do that now," he said, with front of CBS4's Ted Scouten and camera as a witness.

Jagger said yes and the two hugged with delight.

Even if LeBron wins two more championship rings, for Bex and Gaz, the one on her finger is the most valuable!

It was a win for Jagger, and a win for the Heat as well.
