MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two people were pulled from the water after their boat capsized southwest of Elliott Key.

Three men were in the 16-foot boat fishing when it started taking on water around 1 a.m. All three ended up in the water, but one of the men managed to swim to land and flag down other boaters who called for help.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue dispatched a chopper crew which found the missing men and rescued them. The men were taken to Homestead Bayfront Park Marina where they were checked out and released.
