MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Law enforcement officials laced up and ran in full uniform for a cause on Saturday.

The 5K Black and Blue Fun Run, hosted by Police Officers’ Assistance Trust and the Town of Cutler Bay Policing Unit, had officers from multiple law enforcement agencies running to raise money.

Those who stand to benefit from the cash raised are families of fallen officers.

The event started at 5:00 p.m. and lasted until 7:00 p.m.  at Health South located at 20601 Old Cutler Road.
