Son Dies After Hit By Father's Pickup

HASTINGS (CBSMiami/AP)—A northeast Florida father was moving materials around his home when he accidentally backed his truck over his 3-year-old child.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office reports that Christopher Lamer was playing in a plastic toy car on Sunday when his father's pickup struck him.
Authorities say the father was moving materials from his back yard to the front and did not see the boy playing in his vehicle's path.
Fire rescue personnel responded and found the father screaming for help and administering CPR to the boy.
The boy was airlifted to Flagler Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
