MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A Miramar mother accused of trying to drown her baby died after being found unconscious in her Miramar home on Tuesday.

Thirty-four year old Inakeesha Armour was found unconscious in her Riviera isles home.

Her family has said she suffered from postpartum depression and was on medication.

At the time of her arrest in July, she told police she was off her medications.

In August Armour was released on bond and had been living back home in the house she shared with her husband and mother.

"At this time we do not suspect foul play and believe she took her own life" said Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues.

On Wednesday, Armour's husband entered a written not guilty plea to charges of failing to report abuse and child neglect.

Armour's mother faces the same charges because police said they did not protect the life of the baby.

Family friend Herb Bradshaw said the ordeal has been tough on the baby's father Conlan Armour.

"He loved her and was hurt when this mishap happened to his child. I feel sorry for him.   That always happens to good people, " said Bradshaw.
