Early Voting Coming To A Close This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Early voting is wrapping up this weekend just in time for the Nov. 4th general election.

Florida has one of the tightest governor's races in the country and early voter turnout shows more Floridians have cast ballots so far than voted in the August primary statewide.

In Miami-Dade, more than 78-thousand people have already voted early.

In addition, more than 290-thousand absentee ballots were mailed out. Of those, more than 160-thousand have already been returned.

In Broward, more than 84-thousand people have already voted early and more than 98-thousand absentee ballots have been returned.

Miami -Dade early voting sites are open Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Early voting sites in Broward are open Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Wait times have been minimal at early-voting sites so far, and there haven't been any technical issues at the polls.
