MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Drivers on their Monday morning commute were halted after a new traffic pattern was implemented on NW 25th Street.

Traffic officials said the congestion was due to the lights not being timed properly with the new traffic pattern. The light patterns were changed at around 9:30 a.m.

The new traffic NW pattern on 25th Street between SR 826 and NW 84 Avenue is the following:

  • Westbound NW 25 Street traffic between SR 826 and NW 84 Avenue will be shifted to the newly constructed travel lanes on the north side of the roadway.
  • Eastbound NW 25 Street traffic will be shifted between NW 84 Avenue and SR 826 towards the north where the existing westbound travel lanes are currently located.
