MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Anyone who takes the Metromover Brickell and Omni extensions will need to plan on taking the bus this week.  The two extensions will be closing early Monday, and throughout the rest of the week, to repair 30-year-old cables and do necessary track work

The Brickell and Omni extensions will close starting at 9 p.m., Oct. 20-24, 2014.

Free bus-shuttle service will be provided from 9 p.m. until midnight between stations on the Omni and Brickell extensions.

Regular service on the extensions is expected to resume at approximately 5 a.m. each morning.

A map of where shuttle buses will pick up and drop off patrons is available at MDT’s Metromover page by clicking here.

In addition, throughout the rest of the week, Metromover will run only single cars on the Omni and Brickell extensions.

Metromover’s Inner Loop will continue to provide regular service, from approximately 5 a.m. until midnight.
