Man Shot Multiple Times In Coral Springs Parking Lot

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Coral Springs man has died after he was shot multiple times in a parking lot.
Investigators said the shooting occurred between the occupants of two vehicles in the area of Coral Ridge Drive and Lakeview Drive early Monday afternoon.

Investigators said a passenger in one of the cars got out and fired on 22-year old Omar Khan in the second vehicle. Police said the Khan, the shooter and the driver of the gunman's car all knew each other.
Witnesses said the passenger in the SUV got out and shot Khan in his vehicle. He and the driver took off and police pulled them over.
Khan drove himself home, which was close by, and called the police.
The two men were taken into custody and police recovered a gun.
Khan was taken to the hospital where died. Police have not said what led to the shooting.
Khan's neighbors said they are shocked and saddened over his death. "The whole family is nice. It's a close community so we are just sad," said Marcia Cunningham.
