Family Asks For Help In Solving North Miami Beach Murder
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The family of a man gunned down in a drive-by shooting in North Miami Beach is asking for help in finding his killer.
The Richmond family desperately wants closure and has asked the community to step forward with information which will help the police make an arrest.
Kyron Richmond's brother-in-law Leo Augustin could barely speak at the start of the news conference.
"Usually I'm not like this, but my brother-in-law was a decent man," Augustin said as he held back tears.
Richmond wasn't the target of drive-by shooting on September 26th. He was killed by stray bullets while he prepared to mow the lawn at his 94-year-old aunt's house.
His family said that's the kind of man he was.
"You know I call him my humble giant. He was a humble guy a tall guy that never really spoke," Augustin said.
The family said they know one day justice will prevail.
"We know that one day, one day, whoever did this will have their day," Augustin said. "Whoever did this, justice will come for us one day."
