Crist, Scott Close In Money On Hand For Final Push

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) - With a little less than a month to go until the General Election, Governor Rick Scott and former Governor Rick Scott have just about the same amount of cash on hand for a last minute campaign push.

Reports filed Friday show Democrat Charlie Crist had about $8 million left to spend from his campaign account and from his political committee. Crist has raised close to $30 million between the two accounts.

Incumbent Republican Gov. Rick Scott has nearly $10 million left to spend from his two campaign accounts. Scott has raised more than $49 million.

The reports cover all fundraising and spending through September 26th.

Both candidates have spent most of their money to pay for television ads.

The Scott campaign has maintained that it is also raising large amounts through the Republican Party of Florida.
