Heat To Hold Open Tryouts For D-League Affiliate

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Basketball players who have aspired to someday play for the Miami Heat will get a chance to make that dream a reality.

The Heat have announced that their NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, will hold open tryouts for their upcoming season.

The first tryout will take place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on October 12th at the Sanford Pentagon.

A second tryout is scheduled for October 17th in Miami at Ransom Everglades High School.

Both tryout sessions will begin at 9 a.m. The applicant deadline for the Sioux Falls tryout is October 10th while the Miami tryout deadline is October 17th.

Applicants must pre-register with the proper health and registration forms as well as a nonrefundable fee of $150. Anyone applying must be eligible to play in the NBA D-League.

Walk-up applications will not be accepted on the day of the either tryout.
