Three Men, Teen Accused Of Stalking Marathon Couple

MARATHON (CBSMiami) - Four men were arrested Monday morning after a Marathon couple called police and said they were being harassed and stalked.

The couple told Monroe County Sherriff Deputy Deanna Torres they were shopping at a Walgreens at 1:40 a.m. when the harassment started.

She told the deputy the men yelled at her and her boyfriend because of the New Jersey license plate on their car.

After leaving the Walgreens, the men reportedly followed the couple. The woman told authorities the harassers would pull up alongside their car and yell out the window at them. She described the stalkers' vehicle as an older-model silver Lexus with blue headlights.

Afraid she would be followed home, the woman said she made a sharp U-turn in an effort to lose them.

Once the couple got to the boat they live on, they hid their car so they would not be spotted by the harassers and called 911.

20-year-olds Miguel Herrera, Gabriel Herrada, Shadow Franco and the 17-year-old juvenile were later spotted near a Publix grocery store. The four were arrested after being identified by the couple.

The three men were charged with aggravated stalking and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated stalking.
