Student Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault At South Florida School
HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) – An investigation is underway at South Dade Senior High School after a female was allegedly sexually assaulted after school was dismissed Friday.
Officials with South Dade Senior High School reported the 18-year-old male student was arrested.
The incident involved a female non-student and took place two hours after school was dismissed, according to a press release by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
School officials said counselors will be at the school Monday to provide support for students and employees.
Miami-Dade Schools Police, along with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, are continuing to investigate.
Officials said this is an isolated case.
