Phil Collins To Headline Gala Show In South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Singer Phil Collins is expanding his philanthropic prowess in South Florida by headlining a gala fundraiser for his youth arts and sports nonprofit, the Little Dreams Foundation.

The December 6 concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre marks Collins' first show in nearly 4 years and is timed to coincide with Art Basel festivities.

International pop stars Laura Pausini, Alejandra Guzman and others will join him. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 12.

Collins established Little Dreams Foundation with former wife Orianne Collins Mejjati, who is producing the concert.

The group seeks to help talented youth around the world fulfill their artistic and athletic dreams. The foundation matches students with teachers and coaches and provides them scholarships to give them the best chance for professional careers in their sport or art.

Earlier this year, the foundation opened its first South Florida office.

Tickets for the show are $353.50, $253.50 and $103.50. They go on sale Friday, September 12th at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com or charge by phone 800-745-3000 and at the Fillmore Box Office during normal business hours (Mon. – Fri., 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and during show days).
