Man's Body Found In Margate Canal

MARGATE (CBSMiami) -- Margate Police are investigating the death of a man found in a canal on Friday.

His body was found near the 5200 block of West Sample Road just after 8:00 a.m.

The body was in the canal on the South side of West Sample Road behind a  Chevron gas station.

Margate Fire Department officials were able to recover the body from the canal.

The circumstances of the man's death are still under investigation.

Police have not released his identity.
