NCL Hosts "Twitter Hunt" For Free Cruise
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - You may remember that last month a shadowy group showed up on Twitter and started what you might call a 'Twitter Hunt'.
The group, which turned out to be husband and wife team, posted clues on a social media account @HiddenCashSFL. The first person to solve the clue and go to the site would find cash or gift certificates donated by local businesses. The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, said they hoped winners would use the prize to pay it forward.
This month a popular cruise line took the idea behind the game and amped it up a bit.
On Friday, South Florida-based Norwegian Cruise Line hosted #HiddenCruise on their Twitter account @CruiseNorwegian. It started 9 a.m. with a series of clues which would ultimately lead to a secret location in the greater Miami area.

The prize - a seven-day cruise aboard the line's newest ship, Norwegian Getaway, sailing weekly from PortMiami.
The first clue was pretty vague.

The clue alluded to South Beach.
About and hour later they posted

Again a vague reference to South Beach. The third clue narrowed things down a bit.

Miami Beach.
Some of the clues were kind of obscure.

This was Smith and Wollensky's on Miami Beach - a big clue in disguise.
Some of the clues were pretty straight forward if you thought about them.

It's the 5th Street Gym.
Clue after clue garnered a bevy of responses on Twitter until finally, around 1 p.m., Jen Martinez and Melissa Jimenez from Miami arrived at the final spot.
"Is this the clue?" asked Melissa Jimenez to the bartender in the outside bar of Smith and Wollensky in Miami Beach and she was right. Sitting at the bar was a representative from Norwegian with an envelope containing the grand prize.
Melissa and Jen posted a picture of themselves holding the #HiddenCruise prize in their hands.
"We have a really passionate and engaged community and we did it in New York and it went great and here in Miami our home city for Norwegian Getaway, our newest ship, it is a great way for our fans to experience her here," said Vanessa Picariello with Norwegian Cruise Lines.
The women who won said it took them about an hour and a half to get to the finish line. They started in Coral Gables, went to Midtown and back around following clues all during their lunch break. They told CBS4's Marybel Rodriguez they are not sure when they will be taking their winning cruise.
The next #hiddencruise hunt will be in Houston.
