South Pointe Among Nation's Top Parks

SOUTH BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A popular South Beach park made it to the list of the nation's top parks.

South Pointe park was one of the winners of  the travel website TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards for Attractions.

The park is number 15 on the list of top parks  in the U.S. and around the globe.

Stanley Park in Vancouver, Canada nabbed the top spot with Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado getting the number two spot.

Central Park in New York City followed at the number three spot followed by Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois and  High Line in New York City, New York.

Winners were selected by taking into account the amount and quality of reviews for parks worldwide which were gathered during a 12-month period.

According to the group, the awards are meant to inspire travelers setting out on summer trips.
