Miami Beach Named #1 Sexy Suburb
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Justin Timberlake may sing about "bringing sexy back" but according to a popular real estate blog sexy has never left Miami Beach which they've voted the sexiest suburb in America.
The California-based Movoto Real Estate Blog, which has been recognized for its unique approach to city-based research by organizations like Forbes and U.S. News, compared 139 of the most populated suburbs for things like number of lingerie stores, hotels, adult entertainment, nightlife, etc.
It found Miami Beach had more more nightlife, more hotels and more adult entertainment than most cities combined.
"With clubs like Kill Your Idol and Twist, just to name a couple, Miami Beach was the best suburb as far as nightlife goes," according to the blog.
Miami Beach was also top ranked for the number of places you can go after the club and had the most hotels per capita. Additionally, it came in third and second in the categories of adult stores and adult entertainment, respectively.
Number two on the list was another Florida spot - Jacksonville Beach.
In addition to lots of nightlife, Jacksonville also had a high score for its high number of lingerie stores per capita, the sexiest accessory for any night out.
Coming in at number three was Santa Monica, California, followed by Cornelius, North Carolina and Dublin, Ohio which was recently named by the blog the "Happiest Suburb in America."
Rounding out the top ten, Frederick, Maryland came in sixth followed by Atlantic Beach, Florida at number seven. Movoto said "Atlantic Beach stripped away the competition for ranking the No. 1 suburb in the category of lingerie."
Number eight was Council Bluffs, Iowa, followed by Seal Beach, California. Plano, Texas came in tenth.
