Miami Dolphins Announce Fun-Filled Fins Weekend
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Fins fans get ready to have some fun.
The Miami Dolphins Foundation announced that this year's Fins Weekend will take place from June 5th through the 7th. Fin fans are invited to join Miami Dolphins players, coaches, alumni and cheerleaders is a weekend full of golfing, fishing, and much more.
Fins Weekend kicks off Thursday, June 5th, with the Celebrity Draw Party at the Miami Beach Golf Course. There attendees will be able to enjoy be cocktails, food, games and get a chance to win some great prizes.
On Friday, June 6th, Dolphins players and coaches will take a swing a different sport. The Fins Weekend Golf Tournament will tee off 8:30 a.m. at the Miami Beach Golf Course and an awards luncheon will be held afterwards to announce the winners. Click Here for more information.
Later that evening, the several players will attend the Hook & Tackle Captain's Party, which takes place at the Miami Beach Marina. The party will feature a silent auction and live entertainment.
Saturday morning, June 7th, fans are encouraged to get their fishing rods out and meet the Dolphins players at the Miami Beach Marina for the Miami Dolphins Foundation Fishing Tournament. After the weigh-in, the first place team will win a trip on the team charter to a Dolphins road game. Click Here to register for the event.
That evening, attendees can attend the awards ceremony to find out who walked away with the biggest catch. There will also be a live auction including a first-ever 22-foot Contender Open Fisherman.
All proceeds from Fins Weekend benefit the Miami Dolphins Foundation.The event has raised more than $3 million for local charities.
