NFL Releases 2014 Schedule, Dolphins Season Opener At Home VS. Pats

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Miami Dolphins will take on rival New England Patriots on September 7 at Sun Life Stadium--a season opener which has only happened twice since 2008.

The opener against the Patriots is the eighth time the two divisional rivals will meet to start the season and the fourth time the teams will play in South Florida, according to the Miami Dolphins.

"Our organization is excited about the schedule and we look forward to playing our home opener in front of our great fans," said Miami Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin in a press release. "We also start our season with two division opponents, travel to London and finish the year with two home games. As always, our off-season program and training camp will be paramount in preparing us for the upcoming season."
