Broward Humane Society Cuts Adoption Fees In Half Through Friday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – What better way to celebrate Earth Day then to adopt a pet?

Well this week you can make a new addition to the family at a discounted price thanks to the Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC).

Adopt any dog or cat, over the age of one year, from April 22 – April 25, you only have to pay half the adoption fee.  The regular fee is $100 for dogs and $25 for cats.

The pets are already spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and some are even home trained.

The Humane Society will also give the pets' preliminary vaccinations and a 10-day limited health care plan before they go to their new homes. Dogs that are over seven months will be tested for heartworms and cats will be tested for feline leukemia.

Not only will adopters go home with a furry friend but they will also receive a bag of Purina ONE pet food and one week of complimentary doggie daycare at Lauderdale/Pompano Pet Lodge.

The adoption offer will only be available at HSBC's main location, located at 2070 Griffin Road, just a block west of I-95.  Adoption hours are Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
