Undercover Child Sex Sting Nabs 5 In Broward County

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Department Internet Crimes Against Children task force was busy this week helping arrest four men as part of an underage sex sting.

Investigators said the suspects chatted online with what they thought were teenage boys. The suspects traveled to meet with who they thought were teenage boys, but instead met undercover detectives.

The five men: Joseph Audain, 30, Justin Newman, 34, Allen Gordon, 25, and Jason Seldin, 34, Francisco Cruz, 27, were all arrested throughout the day Thursday and a few have already bonded out of prison as of early Friday morning.

All of the men were charged with traveling to meet minors and in some cases also charged with soliciting children online. In some of the sting operations, undercover agents sent pictures of themselves as teenagers to lure the men in.

According to the arrest affidavit, Seldin had a change of heart when the arrest team showed up to take him into custody. The arrest showed he said, "This was so stupid," and called himself an idiot."

Broward County Judge John Hurley ordered that all four of the men must stay off the Internet while they are out on bond.
