Steering You Right: More Cones & Crews On Don Shula Expressway

MIAMI (CBS4) - Expect cones and crews on the Don Shula Expressway yet again this week. And Broward drivers, you'll see express lanes on one of your highways soon.

It's another week of closures on the Don Shula Expressway.

All southbound lanes will be closed from Kendall Drive to the Palmetto Expressway every night from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. until Thursday morning. And then the northbound lanes will be shut down overnight from Thursday to Sunday morning.

Southbound I-95 express lanes are closing and so will eastbound I-395 from State Road 836 and I-95. So you won't be able to make your way to Miami Beach on the McArthur Causeway on Thursday, March 13 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Take the Julia Tuttle Causeway instead.

More express lanes are coming to Broward County. Expect closures on I-75 from Griffin Road to I-595 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will be working on the medians and shoulders of the highway to lessen the congestion. The project is expected to finish in 2016.

You'll see closures overnight on I-75 in the next couple of years because of the express lane project. Make sure to check out steering you right every Tuesday and I'll keep you informed of the closures.
