Justin Bieber Giving Deposition In Downtown Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Pop singer Justin Bieber was back in Miami for a deposition as part of a lawsuit filed against him by a Miami Beach paparazzo.
Last June, photographer Jeffrey Binion slapped a suit on the Biebs after he claims he was roughed up by one his bodyguards under the singer's orders. Binion claims he was assaulted while snapping pictures of Bieber outside of The Hit Factory recording studio in North Miami Beach.
Binion's lawsuit claims Bieber "Directed [Hugo] Hesny and three other bodyguards to confront [Binion] and to forcibly take the memory card from [his] camera."
Hesny reportedly "Threw [Binion] against a wall, began choking him, and threatened [him] with a gun..."
Binion said he had his camera card taken from him as well.

Bieber, 20, was originally ordered to attend a 10 a.m. deposition at the Universal Court Reporting's offices across from the Miami-Dade Courthouse on West Flagler. At the last minute, the deposition was moved to the offices of Bieber's attorney Roy Black at 201 S Biscayne Boulevard, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald. Black is representing Bieber on his Miami Beach arrest.
The deposition was videotaped.
Bieber was supposed to be deposed in January in Santa Monica, California but couldn't make it because he was locked up in Miami after Miami Beach police accused him of driving under the influence and drag racing.
According to the police report, once at the Miami Beach Police Department, officers noticed Bieber had a "flushed face, bloodshot eyes, and the odor of an alcoholic beverages on his breath." Police conducted a sobriety field test on "a flat, dry, smooth, and well lit surface" and that Bieber, "did not perform to standards," and later agreed to a breath test and drug evaluation.
"During the investigation, Bieber made a statement that he had consumed some alcohol, had been smoking marijuana and had consumed some prescription medication," said Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond.
Bieber was charged with DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest without violence.
The second driver, Khalil Amir Sharieff, a singer with Def Jam Records, was also arrested.
On Wednesday, Miami Beach police released video Bieber after his arrest being escorted by police to a holding cell inside the police station where he submits a urine sample. The actual video of him giving the urine sample is being redacted to "shade or blacken" out images of his private parts and has not been released yet. Other video released Wednesday shows Bieber walking around, sitting in a chair, talking to his pal and fellow arrestee Khalil Sharieff, all while a police officer stands nearby.
Last week, more than 10 hours of police station videos were released by prosecutors, including clips of the troubled singer wobbling while walking a white line during a sobriety test inside the police station.
Several photographs taken by police of Bieber showing his tattoos were given to the media Tuesday.

Florida's open records law gives the news media full access to documents, photographs and video collected by police unless there is a compelling reason to keep them private.
A status hearing is set for March 11 in Bieber's DUI case, which also includes a charge of resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired license.
