Focus on South Florida: Honey Shine

Teaching social and economically disadvantaged girls and young women the support and self-esteem they need to succeed in life. That's the mission of "Honey Shine", the mentoring program founded by Tracy Wilson-Mourning more than a decade ago. In 2013 Honey Shine improved academic performance, increased financial literacy for students and brought more college scholarships to its so-called "Honey Bugs" than ever before.
