Elderly Man Found Dead In Canal
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- An assisted living facility employee found an elderly man dead in a Miami canal on Saturday morning.
The employee was looking around for him and found the elderly man face down in the canal at NW 8th St. Road and 11th Street. His walker was found nearby.
According to Miami Police, the man lived at an assisted living facility which reported him missing on Friday evening.
He was last seen at a nearby Winn Dixie on Friday where, police say, he goes often.
Employees at the supermarket confirmed to police that the man had looked disoriented.
Police said there are no signs of foul play and it seems to be accidental.
