Report: Fins' Turner Not Joining Other Coaches At Combine

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins haven't made any public moves since the release of the Ted Wells report on the Jonathan Martin harassment scandal, but a move by assistant coach Jim Turner might signal his time with the team is running short.

According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Turner will not be joining other coaches in attendance at the annual NFL Draft scouting combine held in Indianapolis. The Wells Report was highly critical of Turner saying he tolerated and participated in the harassment of at least two Dolphins linemen.

NFL.com reported the absence of Coach Turner at the combine is "certainly an indication that Turner's two-year run with the team is over."

According to NFL.com, the Dolphins could promote assistant o-line coach John Belton to offensive line coach if Turner is shown the door. Belton has worked in the past with the Houston Texans.

All of the uncertainty surrounding Turner, along with center Mike Pouncey, continues to compound the Dolphins' most glaring weakness heading into the offseason and free agency, the offensive line.

The Dolphins will have to address the offensive line through multiple draft picks and free agency to put an offensive line on the field next season.
