Masked, Armed Robbers Rip Off Best Buy Mobile Store

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Best Buy Mobile store was targeted by masked, armed robbers who made off with a large haul of electronics in Fort Lauderdale and the crime was caught on surveillance video.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, two masked men entered the Best Buy Mobile store located at 1489 SE 17th Street at 10:57 a.m. on Thursday, February 13th.

The masked men, both armed, locked the doors after entering the store.

With guns drawn, they forced the manager at gunpoint to the store's office where he was told to open the safe and retrieve the keys to the storage closets.  The manager, who feared for his life, complied with the demands.

The robbers took the keys from the manager and filled 2 large duffle bags with numerous electronics.

With their duffle bags filled, the two suspects ran out the back door of the business in an unknown direction.

The total amount of the loss is unknown at this time.
