Police Investigating 3 People Shot In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two people are dead and a third is hospitalized after a shooting Saturday night.  Miami-Dade Police are investigating the shooting which happened at 770 S. Biscayne River Drive.

According to Miami-Dade Police Detective Elena Hernandez: four men were inside a car when two other cars boxed them in and started shooting.  Three people inside the car were shot. A fourth was not hurt.  The victims were able to drive to a nearby convenience store where one of the victims died.  A second victim was airlifted to hospital where he died.  A third victim made it to a McDonalds south of the shooting scene.  He was airlifted to the hospital.

"I'm sitting in my living room writing on the internet and i hear pow pow pow pow pow pow pow at least 20 times one right after another," said Brad Watson who lives right across from the shooting scene.

"I could tell this was no firecrackers going off; it was too consistent of sound one right after another. I immediately called 911 and reported it," said Watson, adding, "It's outrageous.

"They had the EMS and everything back here along with a bunch of cop cars. That's when they were covering the body and everything like that so it was pretty horrific," said Jared Wilson who lives nearby.
