FBI Releases New Pictures Of Miami Armored Truck Robbery

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  The Federal Bureau of Investigation released new photos of an armored truck robbery in Miami which happened earlier this month, along with pictures of what they believe is the getaway car and a person of interest.

The FBI believes the getaway car is  possibly a 2005-2009 Pontiac G6. The first three digits of the getaway car's tag may be "393."

The bureau announced a reward of up to $2,500 for information  leading to the identification and arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the robbery.

Separately, Loomis Armored US, LLC is also offering up to $2,500 to those who provide information to the FBI that results in the arrest and conviction of the robbers.  Their reward offer is in effect until  May 1, 2014.

Another photograph released is of a person of interest who was in the vicinity of the bank around the time of the robbery.  The FBI would like to interview that person.

According to the FBI, it all happened near the Regions Bank located at 6013 NW 7TH Ave at approximately. 9:20 a.m on January 9.

The robber, armed with a gun in each hand, approached the armored truck guard and displayed two handguns and took a courier bag containing an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI.

No shots were fired and no were  injuries reported.

The robber is described as a Black male, 5'11" to 6' in height wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark pants and a cloth bandana covering face.  He was the passenger in the getaway vehicle described above.
