Police said the gunman, or gunmen, sped off in a red Nissan Altima after the shooting.

A short time after the shooting police surrounded the city’s civic center complex at 2300 Civic Center Place, about seven miles north of the murder scene, and detained two males in front of the library. A third person was also questioned. All three were released but remain “persons of interest,” according to police.
